A rarely photographed itinerant Gnoua playing late at night to a small crowd on Marrakesh’s Djemma el Fna. Behind him is a young Marrakesh Gnoua who enjoyed quite a reputation as a rapper when Joe Ambrose took this photograph in 2000.
