Iggy Pop & the Stooges

The new DVD from Iggy & the Stooges, Escaped Maniacs features an exclusive 20 page booklet written and conceived by Joe Ambrose, Iggy Pop's biographer. The punk icon specifically requested that Ambrose should do the sleeve notes for this release. Ambrose writes about Iggy’s relationships with Andy Warhol and William Burroughs collaborator Brion Gysin. There are also tributes to Iggy & the Stooges from Johnny Depp, Debbie Harry, and David Bowie. The deluxe package features an entire in-concert DVD of the band recorded in 2005, a second disc includes over an hour of live archival footage of Iggy, plus band interviews. A third disc features the band live.
